Wyoming Properties

Resolute acquired its Wyoming properties in 2008, the majority of which are found in Hilight Field, located in the Powder River Basin about 20 miles south of Gillette, Wyoming. Hilight Field is a large stratigraphic trap in the Muddy sandstone that was discovered in 1969. Waterflooding was begun in the early 1970s and infill drilling was implemented over a small portion of the field in the mid-2000s, and a small number of wells have been re-stimulated. Resolute operates three federal units of the Hilight Field, Jayson Unit, Grady Unit and Central Hilight Unit. Reserves in Hilight are approximately one quarter oil, one quarter NGL and one half gas.

Substantially all of the production from the Wyoming properties comes from conventional reservoirs. Resolute operates essentially all of these properties, with per-well working interest averaging approximately 90%. Resolute has identified potential enhancement opportunities on these properties including:

  • Muddy Formation re-fracs
  • Infill drilling
  • Field infrastructure enhancements
  • Field extension drilling
